AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class

Our Puppy Kindergarten classes focus on socialization, basic manners, confidence-building, and foundational skills through fun, positive reinforcement training. As puppies grow, we build on these basics, focusing on and improving impulse control.

6-week Series | $240+tx

Dates:

Puppy Kindergarten 1: Tuesdays, September 8, September 15, September 22, September 29, October 6, October13.

Time:

6:00pm to 7:30pm

All puppies must be at least 10 weeks old and up to date on bordetella, distemper, rabies (if they are old enough to receive it) and have a negative fecal.

Advanced Obedience Class

Take your dog's training to the next level with our Advanced Obedience class. Designed for dogs with a solid foundation in basic obedience, this class focuses on advancing existing skills while introducing fun new challenges. Your dog will build reliability through more advanced commands, learn impressive tricks, master directional cues, and develop the confidence and self control needed for excellent public manners. With engaging, real world training exercises and personalized instruction, this class helps strengthen the bond between you and your dog while creating a well mannered companion you can enjoy anywhere.

Private Training Classes

Lessons are held in our brand-new private training area, thoughtfully designed to provide a quiet, distraction-controlled environment where dogs can learn, build confidence, and focus on developing new skills. As your dog progresses, training may also expand into different areas of our property to help them practice their skills in a variety of real-world settings.

Our goal isn't just to train your dog—we want to teach you as well. During each session, you'll learn how to communicate effectively with your dog, reinforce desired behaviors, and continue building on their progress at home. We believe lasting success comes from creating a strong partnership between you and your dog.

$70+tx for a 45-minute session.

3-lesson Package for $200+tx, 6-lesson package for $390+tx.

Bringing the Training Home

One of the most important parts of any training program begins when your dog returns home. We want you to feel just as confident handling your dog as they are performing their new skills.

We highly recommend follow-up private lessons after your dog's stay. These sessions allow our trainer to review what your dog has learned, demonstrate how to practice correctly at home, answer your questions, troubleshoot challenges, and continue building on your dog's progress. Every family is different, so the number of follow-up lessons is completely your choice.

What to Bring

To help your dog feel prepared for their stay, please bring their regular dog food, favorite training treats, a 6-foot leash, collar or harness, any medications with instructions, and a slow feeder if your dog normally uses one.

If you'd like to provide a few comforts from home, you're welcome to pack a blanket, bed, favorite toy, or a T-shirt with your scent, provided your dog is not likely to chew or destroy these items.

What We Provide

We provide many of the essentials your dog will need during their stay, including stainless steel food and water bowls and comfortable Kuranda elevated cots.

Rustic Acres also offers a variety of lodging options, from our standard accommodations to our luxury suites, allowing you to choose the boarding experience that best fits your dog's needs and your family's preferences.

Make Their Stay Even More Special

Looking to add a few extra touches to your dog's visit? We offer a variety of optional add-on services designed to make their stay even more enjoyable.

Treat your pup to Doggy Ice Cream, a Peanut Butter Kong, a Bedtime Story & Snack, Brain Games & Enrichment activities, or schedule a grooming appointment so they can head home looking and feeling their best.

Board & Train

Professional Training in a Comfortable Boarding Environment

Our Board & Train program combines professional dog training with a comfortable boarding stay, giving your dog the opportunity to learn, build confidence, and develop lasting skills in a structured, positive environment. Every dog is unique, which is why each program is tailored to your dog's personality, current abilities, and your individual training goals.

Whether you're welcoming a new puppy, improving everyday manners, strengthening obedience, or working through specific behaviors, we're here to help your dog succeed while they're in our care.

Before Your Dog's Stay

If your dog is visiting Rustic Acres for the first time, we encourage introducing them to our facility before their Board & Train program begins. Becoming familiar with our staff, surroundings, and daily routine often helps dogs feel more relaxed and confident when they arrive for their stay.

Many families choose to schedule a day of Doggy Daycare, a Day Board visit, or a private training lesson before beginning their program. These visits provide an opportunity for your dog to become comfortable with our environment while allowing you to meet with our trainer, discuss your goals, and build a relationship before training begins.

Personalized Training

Every Board & Train program is customized to fit your dog's needs and the training package you choose. During each scheduled session, your dog receives one-on-one instruction with our trainer for up to 45 minutes in a focused, structured setting.

Most training takes place in our private training area, with additional practice incorporated throughout different areas of our facility to help your dog apply their skills in a variety of environments. This balanced approach builds confidence while helping your dog understand that good behavior isn't limited to just one location.

Between training sessions, your dog enjoys plenty of time for meals, potty breaks, exercise, rest, and enrichment, creating a positive boarding experience that supports learning without overwhelming them.
